About Us
The Teclo Building is an award
winning building offering spacious executive offices for lease. Each office has a private patio. There are secretarial spaces available
for an additional fee. The shared common areas include a conference
room, lunch / break area with microwave and refrigerator. It is monitored by a video
surveillance system and by an alarm system allowing 24 hour
access. There is a receptionist
to professionally answer phones and perform light secretarial duties.
History
The Teclo building was
originally known as the Clock, Waestman, and Clock Law building and was
designed by world famous Long
Beach architect Edward A Killingsworth. Killingsworth was responsible for
many buildings, including his own office, in the Long Beach area and is also
responsible for the design of many Hilton Hotels throughout the world.
The building was featured in
the March, 1958 edition of the Pacific Architect and Builder Magazine
and received the 1957 Honor Award for Excellence in Design and
Execution by the American Institute of Architects, Southern California
Chapter.
On February 15, 2007 the Teclo Building received the
Preservation Award at the Long Beach Heritage Award Benefit in a
ceremony aboard the Queen Mary.
The awards were presented by Council Woman Rae Gabelich. The award was acknowledged by
additional certificates and resolutions by the California State Senate,
the California Assembly, the County
of Los Angeles, the City
Council of Long Beach, and the Mayor, Bob Foster, of the City of Long Beach.
